Design in Blue was formed in 2002 by Marta Alabau-Marques (BA Arch, ARB, Spain)
and Michael Murphy (Dip Arch, US) to take advantage of their combined 25 years
of international residential and commercial experience, including work with
firms in Spain, San Francisco, Ireland and the UK.
Their first project together was the refurbishment of a house on the
Mediterranean Sea in Spain, which was completed in June 2004.
Design in Blue is currently based in San Francisco and focuses on utilizing the principles of modern design to achieve quality results while exploring the possibilities of new techniques and inspirations to apply on residential and commercial work and interior design in the US and abroad.
